Act 3: Fed the Ducks.

Today, Immy and I went to a local village river, armed with a loaf of bread and fed all the ducks. We were very nearly attacked and taken hostage by them, but I still think they appreciated the gesture.

Act 2: Bought Stickers.

Immy is a ballet dancer!

She both trains and teaches ballet at a local class, Thompson School of Ballet, a few nights a week. For today's act, Immy purchased some stickers to hand out to all the littlies in her class as a reward (that doesn't involve copious amounts of sugar and doesn't result in class-hyperactivity levels reaching an all time high). The stickers are fantastically cute in the shapes of fairies, stars and cars (there are lads there too, you know).

Sadly, I haven't had a chance to get a picture of the stickers, but you will be able to see them in all their glory in the weekly vlog later this week.

Act 1: Note to the Examiner.

And so it begins...

It's been months in the planning, and I've had a painful time trying not to work on the project in order to get some revision done for my exams. But that time is over, exams are finished and Immy and I can finally allow ourselves to crack on making people smile.

One of the many exams I completed over the past month was a General Studies paper; a paper which involved ranting about East Enders and what it means to be British. After I had finished my rant, I had a few minutes to wait before the exam finished. I used this time to write a small note to the examiner that would be marking my paper. (Not for extra credit, I promise!)

The note read (something like):
Dear examiner,
I think I would lose my mind if I had to decipher all this handwriting, thank you for making these papers for us.
Hope you have a nice day, despite these exams.
Chloe. x

Act 42: Sewed for Everyone.

As the resident sewer of the house, I am enlisted to carry out all the alterations or fixes of a textiles variety whenever they arise, but sadly I haven't had much time to alter anything recently. So, today I made time ad I cracked on at my fantastic (pink) sewing machine and got through the large pile of too-big dresses and torn jeans awaiting me.

The Plan.

Inspired by 366 Random Acts of Kindness I decided I wanted to do a kindness project of my own, but I knew it would be unlikely to ever get started - let alone finished - if I was to do it alone. So, I enlisted the help of my wonderfully motivated friend, Immy, and we thought up 100 Acts of Kindness.

We plan to do 100 Acts in total, one act every day from the 29th of May (the day of our final AS Level exam! Woop!). Some acts will be completely awesome, and others will be simple acts like a smile or a compliment, the kind of acts that people have no excuse not to do every day!
You can follow 100 Acts by:

Twitter: @CloCloR
Hash Tag: #100acts
Youtube: Immy's Ukuvision Channel
Blog: 100 Acts of Kindness
Also, there is an option to subscribe via email (scroll down!).

Originally, I planned to document each act on my personal blog, but I decided that it would be a better idea to keep this project separate and prevent it becoming cluttered in among all my other posts and projects.
Immy and I aren't rich or powerful - we're just two 17 year old A Level students who live in North Yorkshire that want to make kindness contagious and prove that ANYONE can make a difference.
It'll be making a difference, one act at a time. x
